Residents can also request a lock on their bedroom door if they wish.

Home Cooking

Here at Gardenia we like to offer our residents a large variety of meals, with meal choices given to residents every day. Our home chef has been with us for 15 years now and does a wonderful job in providing residents with suitable meals; ensuring resident’s nutrition/dietary requirements are met. In addition to our meal choices, the chef has come to know our residents likes and dislikes and offers alternatives to the meal choices of the day. All meals are home cooked by the chef in our 5 star kitchen. Relatives are always welcome to meals during their visits and are offered refreshments on arrival.

Entertainment

We actively support activities in the home, from aromatherapy to organised events. We have Marie, activities coordinator, who visits our residents twice a week to provide activities and entertainment. We also have Paul who visits once a week, entertaining residents with reminiscence, music and sing-along’s. One afternoon a week Diane, Aromatherapist, visits our residents. Throughout the day during quiet periods our Carer’s will entertain the residents with therapeutic activities, ball games etc. Activities are aimed at providing a stimulating environment thus helping each individual in our care to achieve a good quality of life.
